Lalisio revamped: Academic knowledge network presents new features and a fresh design.

October 17, 2007

A new topical reference section, functional design changes and the possibility to create public profiles make it easier to find, connect and share information on www.lalisio.com.

Erfurt - Lalisio presents its new look after a comprehensive revamping. Along with aesthetic revisions, a multitude of functional innovations and improvements have been the focus of the web site’s revamping.

New Addition to the Profile Section: Topical Reference Lists

Considering the constant flow of information, references from competent contacts have become an important academic guide. Students, professors and scholars therefore now have the opportunity to include topical reference lists in their profiles in order to effectively spread their knowledge. For example, professors can recommend relevant reading material for courses, scholars can pass along useful web sites for research projects and students can gather useful tips about semester abroad programs.

“The new reference section offers our members the chance to participate more actively in the sharing of knowledge”, explains Ute Rother, Managing Director of Lalisio GmbH. “For some, Lalisio is the fitting place to make relevant materials known. For others, it provides the opportunity to receive help and advice on their academic work.”

New Public Profiles and comprehensive Design Optimisations

A further addition to www.lalisio.com is the public profile: Every member of Lalisio can now set their profile so that non-members can view it as well, granting the member a “virtual business card”. In doing so, members can decide for themselves which information on the profile page will be made public.

Along with these functional improvements, Lalisio has implemented a modern aesthetically pleasing design to facilitate the use of the web site. Fresh colour schemes and additional Web 2.0 features make the platform livelier, clearer and more user-friendly.
