Lalisio: New Opportunity for Scholars Woldwide

January 15, 2007

Knowledge network launched to support sharing of "Gray Literature" and publishing of knowledge profiles.

Erfurt - Lalisio epitomizes the original purpose of the Internet: to support the convenient and fast exchange of knowledge among knowledge workers. Scholars around the World can now publicize "Gray Literature" on Lalisio. The term "Gray Literature" refers to writing that has not been published commercially, e.g. onference papers, research reports, theses and alike. Other members, peers and colleagues can download the material for free and get access to current research papers, which had been unavailable to them before.

In addition, members can create personal knowledge profiles and present their academic interests, fields of study and research, memberships in academic organizations and alike. An advanced search helps other members to find and connect with them and start research or study groups or just ask for advice when they got stuck in their work.

"Academic standards and requirements for scholars worldwide are constantly rising. Today, it is an absolute 'must' for academics to accomplish their research tasks quickly, yet deliver high quality results. Lalisio supports them and offers services to them to find information and people that can help, if need be," explains Ute Rother, CEO of Lalisio.

About Lalisio: As international knowledge network Lalisio enables scholars worldwide to present themselves, exchange "Gray Literature" and create their personalized networks for sharing and accessing knowledge.
