The Boy's Home project provides shelter for street children and
teenagers. In addition, both get the opportunity to attend school and
receive a solid education. A subsequent training on a job improves their
chances to later find a job and to avoid falling back into poverty.
In 1854 the italian priest Johannes Bosco (1815 – 1888) founded the
Catholic Order of the Salesians of Don Bosco. The society operates in
132 countries worldwide and supports deprived children and teenagers
with school education, training on the job programs and charitable work.
"Impulse für die Straßenkinder e.V." was founded in 2001 to support the
work of the Salesians of Don Bosco. Providing street children in
developing countries with school education, trainings on a job, and
medical care are the main objectives of their work.
